vacation is over, schools in session
so this week marked the end of my winter vacation. the past month was awesome and i felt like i did alot, made it to woodward for a week, then texas for a week and got home and began digging at fresno's woodward park for another week. only shit part was when i tried to go ride some trails in santa cruz and totaled my truck but it happens and im stoked to still be riding like nothing happened. anyways it feels like school hasn't been the only thing ive had a vacation from, i have been lagging on my trails. today was the first time ive been out there in a month. i was a bit scared that they would be trashed from kids, but they were perfectly fine so ill probably start going out there alot more, specially with the rain finally coming back...
oh, and i was just browsing around the net and came across this little dirt jump video that ride made a while back, a few months back savaadra took me out to these jumps in riverside, theyre real good, i guess it used to be nastys spot but some other dudes are keeping them up now, big and fast and full of fun
peep it

so i T boned a semi truck today...
So, it has been awhile since ive made it up to Santa Cruz to ride some good trails with some good people...i decided to change that this weekend and head up there. Saturday morning at about 9 i was cruzing down the 152 and hit some pretty dense fog, it was so creamy that i put on my prescription glasses, which i rarely do. Anyways, cruzing along at about 65-70 mph's and about 150ft in front of me i see a steal wall perpendicular to the road the rode, so i slam on my breaks and right at the last minute i tried to pitch it to the left, sending me nearly straight on with the side of the cattle truck, the right side of my bumper hit it first i think. anyways, air bags go off its all smoky inside, front end is all smashed up, and might have blown up my radiater too not sure. Get out both me and the truck driver are fine and a few minutes later we look across the road and theres another car that must have swerved off to the right trying to miss the semi? ambulance came and in trying to cross the same street that the semi was crossing almost got hit too.. anyways the other person in the car had to get taken away in the ambulance, my truck got towed, and the semi drove away with no damage.
Tow truck driver dropped me off in some little town called dos palos, i made him let me get my bike out of the back (he didn't want to for some reason!) sat down and saw two younger kids ride by on bikes, i holler asking if there's a skatepark. there wasnt but we ended up riding street all over for a couple of hours, there were like 7 or 8 kids riding street with us by the time my mom finally showed up, a few hours later..
so that was my saturday, and i thank God that i somehow managed to walk away perfectly fine.
edit: this is what the truck kinda looked like, except he had another trailer behind it
and i just realized that if it wasn't a cattle trailer that went almost all the way to the ground, i would have been screwed, because on normal semi trailers theres a good 4 ft gap that my hood might have squeezed under which would have forced my windshield to hit the trailer?
maybe, i don't like thinking about it.
i wish you all a good day.

woodward park vid stillz yo
woodward park
so back when i first moved to fresno i would go out to the track at woodward park because it was downhill and the pro set was pretty sweet, stoped going for awhile and half a hear later there are like a bazillion tabletops wasnt feeling those much but just recently the birth of the dirtjumps began. they are slightly downill and pretty popy, i went out there yesterday and was liking them alot. so today i went out and shoveled for a few hours, redid a majority of the jumps in the hip line, 3000$ of dirt was shipped in today as well so the big set will be staked up soon
good shit, get out there and ride some jumps, just rember to respect them.

Texas Compound Trip!
So i've been on the road for 7 days with the compound and it's been amazing. started things off at the chandler bikepark then went straight to the famous 9th street in austin texas. it was super hot and humid the first day but the next two days it got really cold but i was stoked to finally ride that spot. the last day in austin the weather cleared up and we met up with joe and rode T-1. that was definitly the highlight of the trip, the ramp works so well and was better than i ever imagined. started driving home and at about 3 in the morning murf spoted a pool and began draining it, deffinitly the best pool i've ridden.
anyways lots of photos to post and i have about 2.5 hours of fotage to edit

so i have been lagging pretty hard on the blog lately but alot of time on the bike.
right after christmas i headed to winter camp at woodward west for a little under a week, and it was a blast..then partied so hard on new years that scene chris got evicted from his house..and yesterday at around 9pm the compound crew with myself included headed out on our texas trip. woke up this morning in arizona and rode the chandler bike park. i had seen this park in alot of mags/videos..but it is way better in person, pretty small but it is sooo smooth and flows incredibly well. we rode there all day and about an hour ago we hit the road to all night it to texas where i hope to meat up with joe and ride the T1 ramp and some trails
filmed a bit today and waylon shot alot of pictures so hopefully ill have some material to post up sometime soon
